All guidelines must be met to participate in our Liberian Girls Book Battle program.  The participating reader MUST be:

1. A female of Liberian ancestry 
2. A student in grades  4^th, 5^th, 6^th, 7^th or 8^th for the current year of participation.  The Book Battle has two Levels of Competitions: 

Level One Competition: Grades 4 through 6

Level Two Competition: Grades 7 through 8

3.    This is a All Girls Group competition.   Each group must consist of minimum of 3 girls and a maximum of 5 who attends the same school.  Schools can send a maximum of 3 groups per Level.    Each group must designate one alternate reader in the event a reader is unable to attend 

4.    Each group is responsible for reading a total of 9 preselected list of books. 

5.    Registration Deadline: Closed

General Guidelines

1. AALG  has the authority to refuse to allow a reader to participate in the event of un-sportsmanlike behavior or other extenuating circumstances.
2. In the event of a situation that is not specifically addressed in the Liberian Girls Book Battle rules, THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES IS FINAL.
